Differentiation and Market Impact

The Public Affair and Relations markets are competitive. SCG focus on digital and online initiatives and campaigns to reach and influence new and wider audiences and interested parties. This online community focus combined with media intelligence, political insight and creative and engaging content along and an ability to meet agreed deadlines is proving successful in winning and retaining clients. For example, in providing services to major infrastructure projects SCG’s approach would be to establish, by every media and means available, channels of communications to build relationship with the community and so gain support from the ground up rather than the more usual method of focusing on the most influential Politian’s or political groups. By giving the broader community access to well-presented facts and creating a forum for discussion it provides the ‘social’ conditions for a non-confrontational exchange of views and a better chance of a positive outcome. SCG provide an integrated approach across all PR, Public Affairs, Creative and Marketing disciplines to effective solutions to clients’ needs and problems.

Monetisation Strategy

Our services are provided on a monthly retainer basis (all PR, some public affairs clients) or for an agreed one-off fee (design work, most public affairs projects). Our strategy has been to build the business around clients paying a monthly retainer, with the more lucrative – but shorter term – project work adding to this. We continue to add services to our agency to create new revenue streams, the most recent example being to invest in an in-house video production offer which we promote to both existing and potentially new clients.

Use of Funds

Geographic expansion (London/ Leeds/ Edinburgh) Enter new sectors (Energy, Healthcare) Significantly expand the digital and creative marketing services to include web design and video production. Exit Potential AIM IPO in 2020 to pursue and acquisition strategy. An exit multiple of 10x earnings would seem a reasonable target.
