As part of their ongoing mission to provide financial support to grassroots sports clubs, My Club Group have appointed Bill Newton as their COO. Newton’s role will be focused on bringing the organisation’s key products – Kit, Market, Lotto and Grants – to clubs around the country.

Bill brings decades worth of experience in the world of sports. As the founder of Kooga Rugby brand, Newton created and grew the business to a turnover of £10m per annum, before selling and exiting the business. Previously, Newton worked with Umbro and Samurai Sportswear and brings this expertise to the fast growing My Club Kit business.

Before this appointment, Newton led on the My Club Kit offering and the dedicated specialist helping teams design and produce their ideal kit.

Speaking on behalf of My Club Group, Graham Anderson, COO, said: “This is an exciting period of growth for the company, using data from the hundreds of clubs we work with to help align our focus for the future. As My Club Kit becomes a more central part of the My Club Group’s approach to supporting sports teams it made sense to give Bill a more significant role in shaping the future, and to maximise his experience and expertise.”
